European elite clubs have received long-awaited news as Bayern Munich reportedly withdrew their contract renewal offer for Joshua Kimmich.

For the past few summers, Barcelona has shown interest in having the player in the Blaugrana color. However, financial constraints have kept the club from pushing forward, with the only option being the German midfielder coming to the club as a free agent.

Aside from Barcelona, arch-rivals Real Madrid are also in the picture for the signature of the veteran player, which will be a beneficial deal with the player becoming a free agent.

Bayern Munich Withdraws Kimmich’s New Contract Offer

After a series of rejections from the club for the potential transfer of veterans, Bayern Munich has made the wrong club economically, as the player’s contract expires in the summer of 2025.

According to Christian Falk via X, the German heavyweight club has withdrawn the extension offer for Joshua Kimmich.

Joshua Kimmich has been essential to the new head manager’s plans at the club this season, making 36 appearances in all competitions.

The German player has scored one goal and provided nine assists in all competitions. With the club qualifying for the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League, the club will be looking to have the veteran midfielder in his best form.

European elites will be watching to see how this unfolds. If no deal is reached, they all appear to be vying for the player’s signature, with Barcelona having the advantage due to the Hansi Flick factor.
