Luis Suarez ‘warned’ Barcelona about the departure of a top player.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona was given a warning by a ex-player regarding a possible transfer of Araújo to Bayern Munich in the previous summer.
Luis Suárez, who has a close bond with Araújo and is also his teammate on the national squad of Uruguay, was tasked with monitoring Araújo’s plans.
In reaction, Suárez contacted Joan Laporta and other club authorities in 2023 to communicate:
“With Bayern Munich’s generous proposal, there is a real danger as, aside from the monetary element, he is keen to battle for significant championships.”
While the 25-year-old ultimately stayed at Barcelona, the club probably appreciated the advance notice regarding the plans of such an important player.
