Robert Lewandowski commented on his exceptional goal-scoring performance following his hat-trick for Barcelona in their La Liga fixture against Alaves on Sunday.
With 12 goals in 11 appearances this season in all competitions, the striker credits his success to improved support from his teammates.
“I am benefiting from great passes, facilitating scoring opportunities. We began the game with a determined focus on our offensive strategy.”
In a post-match interview, he emphasized that scoring three goals in the first half enables better game management in the second half.
“Our pre-season has been productive and the squad is in good form. We have the potential to enhance our performance and address previous shortcomings with this team of players. Football demands maximum effort from players, irrespective of the opposition,” Lewandowski stated.
He acknowledged the difficulties presented by Barcelona’s hectic schedule but remained hopeful that the team would bounce back stronger post the international break, with numerous injured players set to make a return.
