The one thing that has been very clear since Hansi Flick has taken charge of Barcelona is that he does not mess around with players’ attitudes.

When Inaki Pena was late to multiple pre-match meetings he was dropped and he has not permanently lost his starting spot.

Another player who was recently in Flick’s bad books was Jules Kounde and for a game, he was replaced with Hector Fort.

Barcelona searching for versatile full-back

At the time it did not seem like a big deal but if recent rumours are to be believed then it could have been a turning point in Barca’s summer transfer plans.

Toni Juanmarti, cited by Managing Barca, has reported that Barcelona are searching for a versatile full-back with a playing style similar to João Cancelo, but without a high price tag.

Kounde has been so vital to how the Blaugrana have played this season but if the club think they can get good money for him then it might make sense to cash in, especially if Flick is not happy with him.

Premier League side Chelsea have recently been linked with a €100million move for the Frenchman, a price that might be too good to pass up.
