With the frontline of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal performing so well this season, it will be tough for any other of FC Barcelona’s attacking players to secure a regular starting place.
This is true even for a forward like Ferran Torres, who usually makes the most of any playing opportunity.
Although the Valencian is not a regular starter for Hansi Flick this season, he has played an essential role in the club, appearing in 30 games, 19 of which were in La Liga. As a result, he will likely participate in the upcoming league game against Osasuna.
As SPORT points out, he would have played 100 La Liga games for Barcelona if he did. Since joining the Catalan club from Manchester City in 2022-23 for €55 million fixed and another €10 million guaranteed in variables, the Spaniard has been scrutinized in the last three years.
However, his skill and mentality have improved, allowing him to make 143 games for the Blaugrana club in all competitions 99 of these matches have been in La Liga, 19 in the UEFA Champions League, 11 in the Copa del Rey, 8 in the UEFA Europa League, and 6 in the Spanish Super Cup.
In 143 games, he has scored 36 goals. Twenty goals were scored in La Liga, eight in UCL, six in Copa del Rey, and two in UEL. Torres has only failed to score in one competition since moving to Barcelona: the Spanish Super Cup.
