Last night, Barcelona had one of the toughest tests they have faced this season and they overcame it like Champions.

Due to this incredible team display, a lot of people have now placed Barcelona as the clear favourites in the Champions League.

Pedri on UCL Hopes

Despite this impressive result, Barcelona midfield maestro, Pedri, has played down talks of them winning the Champions League.

“Favourites to win the UCL? Barcelona are always favourites for every title but let’s not go crazy. We have to focus on the second leg,” Pedri said in an interview after the game, cited by Managing Barca.

In the second leg, Benfica will be visiting Spain and despite losing, they now have everything to play for and this could prove a test for Hansi Flick’s side.

During the UCL League Phase, the two teams were involved in a ‘basketball-style’ football game and if we see a repeat of that next week it could get messy for the Blaugrana.

Hopefully, Barca can put in another professional performance and show people why they are not to be trifled with this season.
