In last week’s Champions League knockout draw, Barcelona were drawn against Benfica in the round of 16.

The two sides have already faced off against each other this season, where Barcelona prevailed as victors in a very entertaining 5-4 result.

Hansi Flick will be hoping that his side can avoid another crazy game against Benfica, instead dispatching them in a more professional manner.

If Barca can beat the Portuguese side then a quarter-final against either Lille or Borussia Dortmund will be in store.

Ronald Araujo admits his dream Champions League final opponent

It has been generally accepted that the Blaugrana received a favourable draw in the UCL as the other side of the bracket contains some very difficult sides including Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Barca can not face any of these teams until the final and Ronald Araujo has spoken in an interview, cited by Managing Barca, about who he would want to face.

“I will be excited for a Champions League final against Real Madrid.“

It is crazy to think that after all of the Champions League finals, both of the clubs have been too that they have never faced each other in one.

If there was an El Classico in this year’s UCL final then it would be one for the ages, for sure.
