Barcelona could be about to try and sign Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.

Next summer, Barcelona are expected to go into the transfer market in search of a forward to reinforce Hansi Flick’s attack.
Liverpool duo Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have been floated as options as well as Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
However, apart from Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, Barca have not been linked with many forwards from La Liga.
If recent rumours from some Spanish media are to be believed, that could all be set to change as Deco is reportedly interested in Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.
Fichajes has claimed that Barca are preparing an offer for the former Manchester City forward, which could see him join Flick’s side next summer.
The report states that the Blaugrana are prepared to offer €60million as well as including Ferran Torres in the deal.
Despite it seeming unlikely, it is reported that Atletico would consider this offer as the possibility of earning a large fee as well and adding another attacker is an attractive proposition.
It is expected that the final decision will lay with Alvarez and if he is convinced by the current project under Diego Simeone.
Atletico reportedly paid €75million euros upfront as well as potentially €20million in add-ons for the 25-year-old so this deal could be an attractive proposition if they think Torres can live up to the hype.
