The issue between Barcelona with the Spanish federation and La Liga is becoming prolonged.

If it wasn’t the difficulty in signing players, it was registering players, much of which was contributed to by the financial turmoil the club has found itself in over the past few years.

Barcelona are hoping to be able to operate under the 1:1 policy in the summer to aid them in acquiring any player of their choice and registering them without any hurdles.

However, before that, the pending issue with Spanish duo Dani Olmo and Pau Victor needs to be ironed out with the bodies.

La Liga Chief Talks on Olmo and Pau Registration

Barcelona received temporary approval from the CSD in January to register the duo. However, La Liga has claimed that the deal the club reported is not genuine, as they fear that the agreement was done out of favor for Barcelona.

In yesterday’s granted interview, La Liga Chief Javier Tebas explained that the Spanish club had appealed the league’s verdict regarding their financial maneuvers.

La Liga placed strict conditions on the deal and asked that 40% of the agreed January deal for the VIP box in the new Camp Nou be paid upfront in cash.

With the decision of the league’s Economic Committee regarding the irregularities in the deal, La Liga found an issue with one of the companies involved, having €3k, which was run by an individual with an unclear background.

Due to this claim, La Liga did not approve the deal and flagged the deal as the individual could be confirmed to have an agreement with the club back in May 2024.

The President said, “All this was already in the writings we presented. This partnership has had a relationship with Barça since May 2024, so it is not new. “We have transferred this information to our internal bodies and to the CSD in our written submissions. We are not doing anything special with the CSD; this is part of our normal process.”
