In the summer of 2020, Barcelona made a move to bring in what appeared to be a potential and, at the same time, risky move player from the Canary Islands.

Pedri, who hails from Las Palmas, moved to Barcelona with high hopes of success.

The fans had expectations from the young player due to his dribbling skills, technicality, and vision. However, the player faced an early crisis and almost lost sight of himself.

Las Palmas Chief Talks Initial Price for Pedri

Pedri has been spectacular for Hansi Flick’s side this season and has played more minutes for the Catalan club than he played in the entirety of last season.

The Spaniard looks to have found his place in the middle of the park, allowing himself to be his best version on the pitch.

With Las Palmas taking on Barcelona later tonight and what would be an emotional match for the 22-year-old superstar, the club chief, Miguel Angel Ramirez, has revealed the price Barcelona paid for the service of Pedri.

According to Sport, the president said: “I think we are talking about an amount between €23m and €24m in this environment. We agreed on a boy who had never played professional football. Barcelona took a gamble.”

There is currently no pending fee to be paid by Barcelona, which appears to be one of the most underrated deals for the club.
