Barcelona faced off against Las Palmas in what appeared to be a crucial match for both sides.

Las Palmas was looking to secure the 3 points to get out of the relegation zone, while Barcelona needed the 3 points to reclaim the top position after title rival Atletico Madrid won their game against Valencia 3 goals to nil.

Barcelona Battles Las Palmas Till the Last Minute

Barcelona’s 2024/2025 season is taking a great turn as the Spanish club aims to clinch the famous treble this season.

From defence to attack, the team played their best against Las Palmas but was a little laggy in the first half of the game.

The goal scorers Dani Olmo, who was voted as the MVP of the game, and Ferran Torres, “The Shark,” started from the bench and were brought on in the second half.

Dani Olmo came on for Fermin Lopez at the start of the second half and scored a spectacular goal to put Barcelona ahead of Las Palmas with a beautiful assist from the Golden Boy Award winner Lamine Yamal in the 62nd minute of the game.

With a few minutes before the end of the added time, Raphinha, who played below par, provided an assist for Ferran Torres, who slotted the ball at the roof of Las Palmas’s goal.

In the post-match press conference, head coach Hansi Flick said, “I didn’t expect us to play poorly tonight, but we have to accept it. Ultimately, we scored twice, kept a clean sheet, and secured the three points.”

Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres look to be exceptional options for Hansi Flick if there is a need for a game-changer. The Spanish duo scored 18 goals and provided six assists.

Their contributions would be greatly needed in the season’s final stretch if the club is to fulfil its dream of winning the treble.
