Ex-Barcelona player and Brazilian superstar Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, simply Neymar Jnr, has been rumoured to return to Barcelona this summer after his 6-month contract with his boyhood club Santos ends.

Neymar Jr., who signed a lucrative contract at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, agreed to terminate his contract in favor of his move back to where it all started.

As it has been in previous seasons, the “prince who never became king,” as most curlers would refer to him, has been rumoured to return to the Spanish Giant—a move that has not actualized yet.

As journalist Joan Fontes reported, this past week has been covered with a possible return of Neymar Jr. to Barcelona.

Neymar Snr., the father of the Brazilian superstar Neymar, appeared to have given his verdict on his son’s potential move to FC Barcelona this summer.

In his comment made to TNT Sports in Brazil, Neymar Sr. said, “Our project is not only for five months, even though my son’s contract is only for five months.”

This comment has put the potential move to rest for now, as it remains to be seen if the deal can still happen.
