Hansi Flick has praised Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi.

One of the impressive breakthrough players this season has been Pau Cubarsi, who has stepped up since being promoted from La Masia.
The 18-year-old has overtaken senior defenders such as Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo to cement himself as Hansi Flick’s main centre-back.
Since the start of the season, the Spaniard has played 36 games in all competitions and is quickly becoming one of the highest-rated young defenders in the whole world, especially by his manager.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the Rayo Vallecano game, cited by Managing Barca, Flick spoke about how impressed he has been with the 18-year-old this campaign.
“He’s special. Him and those who come up from La Masia. It’s good that Barça has had you for so long.
“The atmosphere in the team is palpable, they’re all friends. Pau is 18 years old, it is incredible”
Hopefully, Cubarsi can continue this electric form and show others in La Masia that it is possible to become a starter under the German’s leadership.
