Brazil are probably the most iconic nation when it comes to the world of football and over the years they have been the birthplace of some of the greatest footballers ever.

Fortunately, many of them have decided to call Barcelona home, helping the Blaugrana win many trophies over the years.

Some of the most memorable Brazilians to play for Barca include the likes of Ronaldinho, Neymar Jr and Rivaldo.

Even though there have been some great times with the Brazilian Barcelona players, there have also been some difficult times, most notably with Ronaldo Nazário.

R9 only spent one year at Barca before joining Inter Milan due to his contract negotiations breaking down.

Even though Ronaldo arguably had his best season with the Blaugrana, there is still a sour taste in the Brazilian’s mouth about how the Catalonian side dealt him, as well as some of his countrymen.

“Barcelona has had difficult departures with many Brazilian players. I’m not here to criticize, but some decisions have been unexpected and unpopular with the fans,” Ronaldo said in a recent interview, via Managing Barca.

“It’s unfortunate that Brazilian players have consistently left Barcelona on bad terms. It happened to both of us [R9 & Romario], plus Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, and Neymar.”
