Barcelona’s transfer team has reportedly identified a fresh defensive target in their quest to bolster their backline.

According to Diario Sport, Hugo Bueno has emerged as a player of interest for the La Liga giants. Bueno, 22, is a left-back currently on loan at Feyenoord from Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Spaniard has enjoyed a strong start to the season, making ten appearances across all competitions for the Dutch club.

During this time, he has contributed three assists, earning widespread praise for his attacking contributions from the left flank.

Bueno’s dynamic displays have caught the eye of observers in the Netherlands, where his offensive prowess and technical ability have been lauded.

Back in Spain, reports suggest that Barcelona view Bueno as a viable and cost-effective option to reinforce their defensive ranks. His combination of youth, potential, and relatively low financial demands appears to align with the club’s current transfer strategy.

As noted by Sport, “Hugo Bueno represents a low-cost solution that Barcelona are keeping close tabs on.” If the interest materializes, it could mark another step in Bueno’s impressive rise, as he continues to make waves in European football.
