Arsenal are reportedly preparing a €90 million bid for Barcelona’s Raphinha in January, though his current role at the club could complicate any potential transfer.

According to Fichajes, Mikel Arteta is eager to bring in a key attacking player during the winter window, with Raphinha emerging as a prime target.

Arsenal have maintained their interest in the Brazilian since his time at Leeds United, where they were among the clubs vying for his signature before Barcelona secured his services for €58 million.

The Gunners face stiff competition, with Manchester City also monitoring the winger.

However, Raphinha’s growing influence at Barcelona and his reluctance to leave suggest a deal will be challenging. Despite Arsenal’s readiness to test Barcelona’s resolve with a significant offer, Raphinha reportedly turned down transfer opportunities in the summer.

Given his strong form and importance to the team, the Brazilian is likely to remain with the Catalan side in January.
