The fate of Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool is unclear. Salah, who is 32 years old, has performed well this season with nine goals and seven assists in 15 games across all competitions.
His existing agreement is scheduled to end next summer, sparking rumors about a potential departure from Liverpool.
He is among three key players whose contracts expire in 2025, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, who may also depart Anfield without a fee.
Spanish publication SPORT has stated that Barcelona is keen on signing Salah once his contract expires in June. Barcelona sought to acquire the Egyptian star three years ago. They are now considering another attempt.
Yet, barriers persist for the transfer to Barcelona. Liverpool is advocating for a contract extension, while Saudi Arabia has also displayed keen interest.
Despite this, reports suggest that Salah is willing to take on a new opportunity, and Barcelona seem committed to completing the transfer.
If their attempts to sign Nico Williams are unsuccessful, Salah is considered a viable alternative despite being ten years older than the Spanish forward.
