Barcelona is dealing with a lack of midfielders after Marc Bernal’s injury forced him to miss the rest of the season, as well as ongoing problems with Gavi and Frenkie de Jong. Once again,
Adrien Rabiot, often rumored to be joining Barcelona, is being considered as a potential target for the club due to his status as a free agent and eligibility to sign with them.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, is requesting €10 million in wages, which is more than Barcelona can afford to pay due to their current financial limitations.
Barcelona would probably have to negotiate a lower salary or include a low release clause in a potential deal to sign Rabiot. Instead of depending on players such as Frenkie de Jong, another possibility is to register him using the emergency injury rule.
