Recent reports in England have revealed that Newcastle United has made a bid for Barcelona forward Vitor Roque in a move to strengthen their attacking lineup.
The Magpies are keen on bringing in a new forward to challenge the likes of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson, both of whom have been linked with potential transfers.
These unconfirmed reports suggest that Newcastle has tabled a €40m (£34m) offer for Roque.
Roque is considered to be an important asset in Barcelona’s attempts to raise funds for new signings before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
Hints from Barcelona manager Hansi Flick indicate that there are concerns about the 19-year-old’s abilities, and the possibility of the club considering his sale during this summer has been suggested.
