BARCELONA SET TO BENEFIT FROM TODIBO SALE.

The French defender who is currently playing his football at OGC Nice in the French league has attracted interest across Europe with his performances over the years. Contributing to his team’s success, with the French side sitting top of the league ahead of notable names like PSG and Lille.

Barcelona brought in Todibo for a fee of €1M from Toulouse in 2019, he was then loaned out to Schalke 04 and Benfica for a fee of €1.5M and €2M respectively.  While Todibo was unable to secure a place in the first-team squad at Barça, he secured a move back to his homeland for €8.5M, with the Catalan side retaining 20% of any future sale.

With the interest of teams such as Manchester United and Chelsea. It is believed Todibo would leave the French side for a decent fee of about €40M come the New Year. A move that could see Barcelona earn a further €8M from his sale, bringing the total profit made from Todibo over the years to a sum of 19M.

While Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s (owner of OGC Nice) aim to acquire a minority stake at Manchester United is yet to be concluded, a deal with the British billionaire would place the Manchester club in a pole position to secure the services of the young French centre-back.
