Barcelona are awaiting the final verdict from the CSD on Olmo and Pau’s registration.

Barcelona’s relationship with La Liga has worsened over the past few years with cases involving player registration and transfers.
The most recent one was the transfer of Vitor Roque to Palmeiras, in which La Liga was strongly against the move, but not until the case was taken to FIFA and was ruled in Barcelona’s favor.
Consequently, the approaching fortnight may be critical for the Catalans. Another factor that could make the upcoming month even more important is the upcoming timeframe for the Higher Sports Council to answer Barcelona’s appeal, in which Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were registered under a precautionary ruling.
The appeal was accepted on January 7th, when the CSD ordered La Liga and RFEF to register both of these players, who had been deregistered by both bodies in compliance with their regulations.
The CSD considered that the absence of such a preventative order would have serious consequences for Barcelona, the Spanish national team, and the two players concerned.
According to Mundo Deportivo, there are three conceivable outcomes for this case going forward. First, the CSD can affirm the cautious ruling, allowing the two players to remain registered until the end of the season. This appears to be the most likely outcome, given the teams’ arguments.
However, there is also the potential that the Blaugranes’ appeal will be expressly rejected or that the court will say nothing on the topic, effectively ending the precautionary registration. In both circumstances, the affected players will be deregistered.
However, Barcelona will have another option to keep the two players available even in one of these two scenarios: they will approach the Administrative Litigation Court, where they will have a good chance of obtaining a ruling for the registration of these two players until the judge makes a final decision.
