A Borussia Dortmund midfielder is now on Barcelona’s radar after the club made formal contact to express its interest.
The Catalan heavyweights are actively searching for dynamic profile options capable of fortifying their engine room long into the future.
Having sent senior representatives to track youth fixtures in Germany, sporting director Deco and the technical staff view the teenager as an extraordinary prospect whose physical maturity and technical composure mirror the early rise of high-profile predecessors in the Bundesliga.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder contacted by Barcelona is 15-year-old prodigy Justin Ejodamen, as reported by Diario Sport.
Dubbed by scouts as the “new Bellingham,” the Italy youth international of Nigerian descent has dazzled within Dortmund’s academy ranks, showcasing a rare mix of press resistance, powerful box-to-box driving, and line-breaking passing capability.
Barcelona have established direct contact and preliminary dialogue to outline their long-term development pathway, positioning themselves among the primary frontrunners for his eventual signature.
From Barcelona’s perspective, securing Ejodamen fits seamlessly into their recruitment philosophy of locking down elite continental talent before valuations surge beyond reach.
Hansi Flick’s setup heavily rewards energetic central midfielders who can transition quickly and contribute defensively as well as offensively.
However, Dortmund remain well aware of the starlet’s immense ceiling and are working on a long-term contract structure of their own, hoping to persuade the young talent that remaining in Westphalia provides the most stable environment for immediate first-team progression.
The race for the teenager extends beyond Catalonia, as Premier League contenders Arsenal and Chelsea, along with Serie A heavyweights Juventus and AC Milan, continue to monitor the situation.
Given age restrictions governing international youth transfers, Barcelona are meticulously structuring their pitch around project clarity and La Masia integration.
As scouting reports continue to yield glowing reviews, Barcelona are determined to maintain their advantage and complete a landmark transfer interception.
