Barcelona have made direct contact with a €20 million Club Brugge attacker as they continue their search for reinforcements.
Barcelona sporting director Deco is prioritizing profile compatibility, focusing on press-resistant strikers who excel at linking play outside the box.
Recognizing the necessity of securing immediate depth and long-term succession upfront, the Catalan board has established contact and opened formal dossier reports on one of Belgian football’s most clinical young goalscorers.
The targeted forward at the center of Barcelona’s ongoing scouting project is 22-year-old Club Brugge center-forward Nicolò Tresoldi, as reported by Fichajes.
Currently carrying an estimated market valuation of €25 million, the German-Italian international has captured the attention of top European clubs following a stellar trajectory in Belgium.
Tresoldi completed a standout campaign last season with 23 goals and 9 assists for Brugge, and he has maintained his prolific form into the current term, netting nine goals across club and international duties.
Barcelona’s sports management structure views Tresoldi’s intelligent movement, link-up capabilities, and penalty-box instinct as ideal tactical attributes for Flick’s pressing system.
With the coaching staff managing rotation and fitness demands across domestic and European competitions, Deco considers the €25 million entry price a highly realistic benchmark before rival European sides escalate potential bidding wars.
The Blaugrana hierarchy plans to fund future offensive investments by streamlining secondary squad assets at the conclusion of the campaign.
To ensure thorough evaluation, Barcelona scouts have been assigned to travel directly to Belgium during the final quarter of the year to track Tresoldi live in domestic league and European fixtures.
The club is closely monitoring his continuous physical and tactical development to determine whether to convert their active interest into a concrete proposal in upcoming transfer windows.
Should the forward maintain his impressive scoring consistency, Barcelona will remain poised to push forward with a structured move to secure his signature.
