FC Barcelona have officially announced their squad list for Wednesday’s La Liga meeting with Racing Santander at Spotify Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana will be looking to continue their perfect start to the league campaign when they welcome the newly promoted side to their home ground.
The Catalan side have won each of their opening five league matches and will now aim to make it six victories from six against Racing.
The squad includes Joan García, Wojciech Szczęsny and Dominik Livaković among the goalkeepers, while the defensive options are João Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsí, Xavi Espart, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martín, Jules Koundé and Eric García.
In midfield, Flick has selected Gavi, Fermín López, Pedri, Rodri, Dani Olmo and Marc Bernal, with the attacking group consisting of Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Hamza Abdelkarim, as per the official Barcelona squad list.
Barcelona head into the contest after securing another league victory against Levante, maintaining their 100 per cent record in the competition.
Flick has retained largely the same group that was available for the previous league fixture, although there are notable absences.
Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji remain unavailable because of knee injuries, while Brian Fariñas has not been included in the matchday squad following the coach’s decision.
The availability of several key attacking and midfield players gives Flick plenty of options as Barcelona prepare for another demanding period of the season.
Lamine Yamal and Raphinha remain among the team’s major attacking threats, while the presence of Pedri, Rodri, Gavi and Dani Olmo provides considerable depth in midfield.
Racing Santander, meanwhile, arrive at Spotify Camp Nou after making an encouraging return to the top flight.
With the squad now officially confirmed, attention turns to Flick’s starting XI and whether the Barcelona coach opts for further rotation against Racing.
