A young forward for Barcelona suggested the possibility of leaving the club with the summer window looming, leaving his future at the club in question.
Despite being on the charter for one of the top teams in the world, the 23-year-old player has not seen enough minutes with Hansi Flick, prompting speculation about his next move.
Also, with the Barcelona sporting department envisioning offensive reinforcements, including notable names from the Premier League, and since this player has not been able to get an attraction in the squad, the possibility of negotiating a departure has become a popular discussion.
He must have interpreted the collective limitation as a mixture of wishing to succeed amid notes of reality where there is no prospect of success, within a squad, where he is simply unable to record streaks of playing time that will lead to grabs of limited offensive time.
The player in question is Pau Victor, who was candid while speaking to COPE via Diario Sport on Tuesday before Catalonia’s match against Costa Rica.
“Everyone knows I haven’t had minutes, but I’m at Barça, the best club in the world,” Victor shared before thanking them and adding he could not promise he would not leave.
“I would like to stay, but sometimes things don’t depend on me.”
He is willing to even join a team in La Liga or leave the country, which he expressed by saying, “The club where I can grow, I do not care if it is here or outside.”
Victor’s first season with the senior Barcelona group has been more of a learning experience as he admired teammates like Yamal, Raphinha, and Lewandowski.
Although he is hoping to stay and contribute to Barcelona, trying to win the Champions League, there are challenges with minutes played (obviously) and the plans for the team transfer-wise.
While discussions are expected to happen, Victor is open to an opportunity. It feels like a crucial moment for Victor, the player, in terms of development and trajectory he hopes to be on.
