FC Barcelona is quietly tracking a promising Spanish talent to bolster their squad depth, as they plan strategic reinforcements for the upcoming season.

Pubill, a gold medalist at the Olympics in 2024, was almost snagged last summer, although financial restrictions resulted in the potential deal falling through.

There was less urgency for Barcelona to sign a new player after Eric Garcia had success in the right-back role, but Pubill remains on the club’s list.
As Barcelona assesses its financial circumstances, there could be a possibility for Pubill to provide cover and competition for Jules Koundé at the right-back position should the impetus change.
