Over the last few years, the money and influence of Saudi Arabia have attracted some of the biggest stars in world football.
From Cristiano Ronaldo to Neymar, a lot of the most recognisable names in the sport have decided to take the ridiculous money offered by these Middle Eastern countries.
Despite strong interest, Barcelona are yet to sell any major players to the Saudi Pro League, potentially missing out on a huge payday.
However, a report from Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Barça should expect two players to be linked with moves to Saudi next summer.
Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong were targetted by many of these clubs last summer, but MD has confirmed that they will return to test the Spanish side’s resolve.
De Jong’s contract is set to end in 2026 and it is becoming clear that Hansi Flick does not trust the Dutchman, indicating that a move away is imminent and if Barcelona can convince him to join the Saudi Pro League they will be sure to make a pretty penny.
With regards to Raphinha, his performances this campaign have been vital to the team’s success and any transfer seems very unlikely unless an irresistible offer comes in.
Despite the money that the Saudis are offering, reports last summer claimed that the Brazilian rejected multiple lucrative offers, wanting to prove himself with the Blaugrana and it is safe to say that he has done that this campaign.
