Barcelona’s summer plans are already beginning to take shape, with the club carefully assessing which players will form part of their long-term project.
With financial pressures still lingering and squad balance a constant concern, every potential transfer link tends to spark debate internally and externally.
At the same time, Hansi Flick is working to build stability within the group, particularly around players who have yet to fully settle into consistent roles.
As a result, even early transfer interest can quickly become a talking point, especially when it involves high-profile names.
And one such situation has now come to light, although it may not develop into anything serious.
Dani Olmo has attracted attention from Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah, who have made informal contact with Barcelona over a potential move, as reported by Marca.
The interest appears to be genuine, with representatives from the club even travelling to Spain on multiple occasions to watch the midfielder in action.
However, despite that effort, the situation remains at a very early stage, with no official offer submitted to Barcelona so far.
For now, it has been limited to exploratory discussions rather than anything concrete.
From Olmo’s perspective, there is no desire to move on, even after a season that has been disrupted by injuries and limited starting opportunities.
The Spanish international remains fully committed to Barcelona and is focused on proving himself as part of Flick’s plans moving forward.
He has also been linked with a potential move to Inter in a swap deal involving Alessandro Bastoni, but that scenario has not progressed either.
Interestingly, Dani Olmo is not even fully aware of any serious interest, with no direct communication made to him or his representatives at this stage.
Internally, Barcelona are aligned with the player’s thinking and have no intention of entertaining a sale.
The club still view Olmo as an important part of their future, despite the challenges he has faced this season.
