Uncertainty continues to swirl around Barcelona’s long-term planning as speculation over the futures of several senior players grows louder.

Attention has turned to how the Catalan club will rebuild its attacking line for the coming seasons.

The Blaugrana have endured an inconsistent run of form this term, relying heavily on experienced heads to guide an emerging generation.

Among those questioned about their future is one of Barcelona’s most decorated names, whose experience and leadership continue to be vital both on and off the pitch.

Amid rumours of an early retirement, the player’s camp has now made their stance abundantly clear, and the truth silences all speculation.

Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona has been the subject of growing speculation in recent weeks, with several reports claiming the Polish striker could consider hanging up his boots when his current contract runs out.

However, the player’s agent has now come forward to set the record straight, and the message is crystal clear.

Lewandowski’s representative, speaking to WinWinAllSports, via Mundo Deportivo, firmly denied rumours of an impending retirement, stating,

“The reports that Robert Lewandowski is considering retirement are not true.”

This statement puts to rest suggestions that the veteran forward, who joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022, was preparing to walk away from football at the end of his contract.

The Polish star, who has been a key figure under Hansi Flick this season, still has plenty of ambition left in the tank.

When pressed about his future and the possibility of a contract renewal, the agent clarified that nothing has been finalised yet, explaining,

“He’s a top-level striker, but there’s still no news about renewing his contract or his future with Barcelona.”

Lewandowski’s current deal runs until 2026, meaning he still has time to make a decision.

However, he recently offered insight into his own thought process, admitting that the final call will depend on his personal motivation. The striker confessed,

“In truth, the matter isn’t about the club’s move.”

“The most important thing is that I myself find an answer to the question: What do I want to do?”

In fact, the Barcelona forward added that even if a new deal were on the table today, he would not rush into signing it, remarking,

“Even if we assume the club comes now, I won’t respond.

“Because it also depends on my sense of what is best and most appropriate for me.”

For now, Robert Lewandowski remains fully committed to Barcelona and focused on finishing the season strongly, proving that retirement is far from his mind.
