Marcus Rashford aspirations to wear the Blaugrana jersey are still very much intact despite his January collapse to join Barcelona, according to TalkSport.
Manchester United striker, currently rebuilding his career on loan at Aston Villa, was set to join the Catalan giants last winter, with sporting director Deco openly admitting that there were concrete talks between the two parties.
Although money put a stop to the move, Rashford’s recent revival has seen Barcelona’s recruitment staff keeping a close eye on his performances.
Marcus Rashford has progressed leaps and bounds since his summer signing for Villa Park, and was especially excellent in their Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain.
His high-intensity performance against the French champions, which included his signature explosive acceleration and shrewd movement, was a compelling reminder of the qualities that originally caught the eye of Barcelona.
Although this performance has generated reported new interest from a multitude of top European clubs, those in his inner circle suggest Camp Nou remains Rashford’s dream club should he ever depart Manchester United permanently.
