Manchester United is reportedly keen on signing Barcelona’s key player in the upcoming transfer window.
The Premier League giants are prepared to offer the 21-year-old a staggering €12 million per year, which would make him the highest-paid full-back in world football.
According to El Nacional, the player is Alejandro Balde
With a contract until 2028, Balde has been a consistent and key player for Barcelona this season, making 38 appearances and scoring one goal with eight assists.
His explosive pace and attacking contributions have made him one of Europe’s most promising defenders, and Transfermarkt values him at €60 million.
However, Barcelona is not planning to fire-sell their assets anytime soon, although they could be sorely tempted.
The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their defensive options, and Balde’s versatility and potential make him an ideal long-term target.
However, a release from the Spanish club and player is never going to be easy. Balde is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy and has become a fan favorite at Camp Nou.
If United succeeds, it would mark a major coup, but for now, the Catalans hold the cards in any potential negotiations.
