A Manchester United attacker has decided to join Barcelona, taking a decisive step towards a high-profile move to Camp Nou.
The teenage forward, who recently requested an immediate exit from Carrington after refusing to sign scholarship terms, has drawn immense interest from top continental clubs.
Seeking a clear progression pathway into senior football, the gifted wonderkid has officially selected Spotify Camp Nou as his preferred landing spot over several competing European giants.
The sensation at the heart of the saga is 15-year-old Manchester United attacker JJ Gabriel, as reported by Fichajes.
Widely regarded as one of the standout offensive talents in English youth football, Gabriel has made his firm decision to join Barcelona as he prepares to turn 16 on October 6.
The young prodigy has already stopped attending training sessions at Manchester United and has relocated to Catalonia, where he is currently maintaining his physical sharpness alongside a private coach in Castelldefels while legal details regarding his contract termination are sorted out.
Gabriel’s decision comes amid fierce competition for his signature, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain all closely following his situation in recent weeks.
Barcelona’s sporting project, renowned worldwide for integrating elite young talent directly into first-team dynamics, proved to be the decisive factor for the forward and his family.
The English youth international holds a European passport, removing regulatory visa hurdles and allowing him to complete a cross-border transfer seamlessly once eligible.
While Manchester United executives are exploring regulatory mechanisms to protect their investment and retain the player’s rights, Gabriel’s mind remains entirely set on finalizing his move to Catalonia.
Barcelona sporting director Deco previously urged patience in public comments, but the teenager’s direct presence in the city underlines his determination to wear the Blaugrana shirt.
As October 6 approaches, all signs point to the English prodigy completing his high-profile switch to join Barcelona’s youth ranks.
