Sevilla’s strategy is to try to convince Fati to negotiate the transfer himself, given the strained relationship between the two clubs since the last negotiations.
While the operation is riddled with risks, primarily Sevilla’s financial troubles, they might make the offer more appealing by offering Fati the center position he has been craving for the past few years.
For Barcelona, this is an opportunity to eliminate a highly paid player no longer suitable for their project, even though they will have to incur their initial estimate.
