As the transfer window gains momentum, an Inter Milan ace has emerged on Barcelona’s radar as a prime transfer target.

The player had an amazing season, scoring 17 goals and assists, and has shown serious interest in playing for the Blaugrana.

In a report that the defender has told the Catalan side that he would like to play for Barcelona “with his eyes closed.”

The club’s hierarchy ultimately became enamored with the attitude of the player, and with the transfer window open until September 1, 2025, this could be a necessary solution for our needs at the back, considering that eventually getting beaten at the back is going to require some reinforcements and money.

The player in question is  Denzel Dumfries, the stellar Dutch defender who is now making headlines at Inter Milan, as reported by Diario Sport.

Denzel Dumfries can pass with speed and use his versatility and attacking output for not an unreasonable salary and now a release clause of €25 million, for manager Hansi Flick, now becomes interesting.

All of this has gotten better in recent days, with agent Jorge Mendes saying this is a rare opportunity, despite the way the club’s priorities were all over the place at the time.

The player’s desire to follow through seems legit, as he has some productivity records already at the top level, and generally wants to come to Barcelona.

At the moment, nothing has been agreed, but the huge possibility of Dumfries teaming up with Barcelona’s attacking stars has put a bright positive light on the situation.

The next few weeks will be vital, as negotiations develop, the football world will be waiting to see if this transfer can happen, possibly changing Barcelona’s back line for next season.
