Barcelona continue to build squad stability with the official signing of a Club Brugge winger on a contract that runs until 2031.
The Catalan heavyweights have made securing top-tier talent a major priority under sporting director Deco and chief scout Joao Amaral.
Following successful administrative checks, medical evaluations, and final document exchanges between the two clubs, the formal transfer was completed to bring one of European football’s most promising young wingers to Spotify Camp Nou on a long-term contract.
To finalize the highly sought-after deal, Barcelona agreed to pay an initial €8.5 million fixed transfer fee, while Club Brugge successfully negotiated a crucial 20% sell-on clause for any future transfer involving the explosive wide player.
The player in question is Jesse Bisiwu, who has signed a five-year contract with the Blaugrana running through June 30, 2031, as per the official Barcelona statement.
Born in January 2008, Bisiwu has earned widespread recognition across European scouting circles for his extraordinary speed, physical strength, direct 1v1 dribbling ability, and positional versatility across either flank.
Having developed through Club Brugge’s youth academy and featured extensively for Club NXT in the Belgian second division, he further announced his talent on the international stage at the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he earned a spot in the official Team of the Tournament.
While Bisiwu will initially register with Juliano Belletti’s reserve squad, Barça Atlètic, to adapt to the technical demands and tactical principles of Spanish football, first-team manager Hansi Flick plans to involve him in regular senior training sessions.
In fact, Bisiwu travels directly to join Barcelona’s pre-season training camp at St. George’s Park alongside Deco.
The club hierarchy views Bisiwu as a long-term project with explosive potential, capable of rapidly accelerating his development and providing dynamic attacking depth for the senior squad across a grueling multi-competition season.
