Barcelona’s recruitment team have spent recent weeks mapping out a long-term plan for their attack as the club continues to assess how best to evolve under growing financial pressure.

The Catalans remain determined to future-proof their forward line, especially with several high-profile decisions looming ahead of the summer window.

Across Europe, clubs are already positioning themselves for 2026, with Bayern Munich and other giants quietly accelerating their scouting programmes.

Barca, meanwhile, have intensified their internal discussions around succession planning, with their current No. 9 edging closer to a decisive contract moment.

And as speculation grows around Europe’s biggest names, attention has begun to shift towards emerging talents who offer both value and long-term potential.

Robert Lewandowski’s contract enters its final year at the end of the season, pushing Barcelona to plan for life beyond the 37-year-old striker in what could become a pivotal turning point for the club.

The Blaugrana have drawn up a shortlist of established names, with Harry Kane, Julian Alvarez and Serhou Guirassy highlighted as potential successors to the Polish legend.

At the same time, Barcelona are keeping a close eye on younger, more budget-friendly options due to their ongoing financial constraints.

One such emerging target is TSG Hoffenheim forward Fisnik Asllani, who is enjoying an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga.

The Kosovan international has produced six goals and three assists in 12 matches across the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, while also helping his country reach the World Cup qualifying playoffs.

However, Barcelona’s interest comes under threat from a major rival, as Bayern Munich are now showing concrete intent to sign Fisnik Asllani ahead of the summer of 2026.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, via X, the German champions have already opened talks over a potential deal and are seriously considering triggering a release clause expected to be active next summer.

Bayern have been particularly impressed by Asllani’s versatility, with the forward capable of playing across multiple positions in the final third.

With the player increasingly tipped to leave Hoffenheim in the upcoming window, the Bavarian giants appear ready to accelerate their pursuit.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have yet to advance their interest and are currently prioritising other targets.

Julian Alvarez remains the preferred option internally, while UD Levante’s rising star Etta Eyong is viewed as a cost-effective alternative.

Even so, Barcelona will continue to monitor the situation, especially as Bayern’s growing interest threatens to spark a competitive transfer chase for Asllani.
