Barcelona’s men’s side are pushing to strengthen their squad depth.

The Catalan giants remain locked in financial manoeuvring as they seek reinforcements while still managing their strict wage bill.

Manager Hansi Flick continues to work with a blend of experienced heads and rising talent, but the pressure remains immense, as seen in Barca’s win against Levante.

Supporters have been keeping a close eye on both the transfer market and the club’s long-term youth development strategy.

While the men’s team grab most of the attention, a key story has emerged from Barcelona Femeni, where Giulia Dragoni has been confirmed to return to AS Roma on loan, as per the official AS Roma website.

The Italian teenager, still under contract at Barcelona until 2027, previously enjoyed a successful stint with Roma last season, where she made 43 appearances and scored six goals.

Her most notable contributions came in the Women’s Champions League, with two strikes against Servette and another against powerhouse Lyon.

Giulia Dragoni has already etched her name into the history books as the youngest Italian ever to appear at a World Cup, underlining her status as one of Europe’s brightest prospects.

However, her development suffered a major setback after she tore the deltoid ligament in her right ankle, ruling her out of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

Surgery was required, but the 17-year-old has remained upbeat about her recovery, sharing her gratitude to medical staff and supporters alike.

“In a matter of seconds, my season ended suddenly and without warning.

“Fortunately, the surgery went well.

“Thank you all so much for the messages. I feel lucky to have such a skilled medical team behind me, and people who care about me and are looking after me.

“I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love the most,” Dragoni stated.

The midfielder is targeting a return to competitive football in September, with her focus firmly set on continuing her growth in Italy before rejoining Barcelona in the future.

With Roma offering her vital minutes and development opportunities, Barcelona will be hoping their long-term investment continues to mature despite this unfortunate injury interruption.
