Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has been linked with a move to Barcelona for a couple of seasons now and more recently the rumours have been heating up.

The Blaugrana are after a versatile forward who can play on the left as well as up front and the Colombian fits these requirements.

It has also been reported that the 28-year-old would be open to joining Barca, with his father even confirming that it was his ‘dream’ to play for the club.

Barcelona & Man City’s interest in Luis Diaz

David Ornstein has spoken about Diaz’s future, confirming that Barcelona’s admiration for him is genuine.

The English journalist also verified that Man City were interested in the Liverpool winger last summer, with some reports even stating he had agreed to join Pep Guardiola’s side.

City were reportedly happy to pay £60million for the former Porto forward, however, Liverpool did not want to sell him for that price and decided to keep him.

Saudi Arabia could also be an option for the Colombian as his fellow countryman Jhon Duran joined Al-Nassr for €77million last January.

If Deco does decide that Diaz is the player he wants then there seems set to be plenty of competition for his signature, potentially increasing his price in the process.
