The most recent transfer between Barcelona and Real Betis was the loan of Brazilian player Vitor Roque, who has made headlines recently. After a lengthy and exhausting procedure, the move to Palmeiras appeared to be finalized shortly after FIFA accepted it, following La Liga’s initial restrictions.
Barcelona took the issue to FIFA, who accepted the agreement, which will be completed whenever all parties are satisfied with the terms. The club sorely needed the deal to be completed because it would help extend the contracts of Inigo Martinez and Lamine Yamal before the summer of 2025.
The long-running speculation about Roque’s immediate future officially concluded on Friday.
According to information from Diario Sport, it was reported that Palmeiras have prices payable to Barcelona. The first payment for Roque is €25.5 million. In addition, three add-ons totaling €5 million were added.
According to Diario Sport and journalist Jorge Nicola, these bonuses are as follows:
- €2 million for Roque winning the Ballon d’Or
- €2 million for the Brazilian being one of the three best players at the Club World Cup
- €1 million if Palmeiras wins an international competition
