Barcelona have rounded off an impressive 2025/26 campaign by securing another La Liga title, reinforcing their domestic dominance under a manager who has quickly reshaped the team’s identity.
The 2-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou sealed the championship and confirmed back-to-back league triumphs under Hansi Flick, whose impact since replacing Xavi Hernandez has been widely praised.
The success has also been reflected in the league’s individual recognition, with Barcelona heavily represented in the official Team of the Season.
Barcelona dominate La Liga Team of the Season
A total of six Barcelona players were included in the 2025/26 La Liga Team of the Season, as announced on their website, underlining the club’s strong performances across the campaign.
The league selected a 19-man squad made up of a starting XI and eight substitutes, with Barcelona players featuring prominently in both groups.
Among those named in the starting XI were Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Eric Garcia, and Joan Garcia.
Each played a key role in Barcelona’s title-winning season, contributing across different areas of the pitch as Flick’s side maintained consistency throughout the league campaign.
Lamine Yamal stood out as one of the league’s most productive young attackers, delivering 16 goals and 12 assists in just 28 appearances.
Pedri continued to dictate matches from midfield, reinforcing his reputation as one of Europe’s most influential playmakers with two goals and eight assists in 27 league games.
Eric Garcia proved invaluable through his versatility, operating across defence and midfield while also stepping into leadership responsibilities when required.
Joan Garcia enjoyed a breakthrough season in goal after joining from Espanyol, establishing himself as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers and emerging as a strong candidate for the Zamora Trophy.
Pau Cubarsi was included among the substitutes in the Team of the Season, a selection that raised some debate given his consistent performances at the heart of Barcelona’s defence.
Despite that, his influence remained significant throughout the campaign, especially in high-pressure fixtures.
Raphinha also featured among the substitutes after contributing 11 goals and three assists in 21 league appearances, despite an injury-interrupted season.
Barcelona’s latest league triumph highlights the balance of youth and experience within the squad, with Flick’s system maximising output across multiple positions.
With individual awards following team success, the club’s rebuild appears to be firmly on track as they look to maintain their dominance into the next season.
