Barcelona are like a newly branded team under Hansi Flick. The Catalan club are among the top favourites for the most significant trophies, having won the Spanish Super Cup in January, beating arch-rivals Real Madrid 5-2.
In terms of defensive structure, Barcelona are unafraid of playing defensive high-line tactics even against counter-attacking clubs and have successfully kept opponents out over 200 times this season.
Attacking-wise, the club has scored over 140 goals in all competitions with the impressive form of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal.
Ronald Araujo Talks on FLick Style
At today’s press conference, Ronald Araujo spoke on Hansi Flick’s style of playing dangerously high-line football.
The Uruguayan footballer said, “Without a doubt, I’ve never played like this, and I think most players here haven’t either. I follow football often, and the only team that does something similar is Liverpool, but it’s not as daring as we are.”
Ronald Araujo has barely featured for Hansi Flick’s side this season, having played eight games in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
The 25-year defender had issues keeping up with the demands of Hansi Flick’s style in these games. Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez have played effortlessly throughout the season, forming an undisputed starter.
