Barcelona are currently going through a mini-injury crisis.
Pau Cubarsi was recently brought off against the Netherlands due to an ankle injury and has since returned to Catalonia.
Meanwhile, his centre-back partner Inigo Martinez had to pull out of the Spanish team after he picked up a knee injury against Atletico Madrid.
Marc Casado also had to drop out of La Roja’s squad and is set to be out of action for at least two months.
With the La Liga title race being as tight as it is, Hansi Flick could do without this many injuries.
Thankfully the Blaugrana have a lot of quality players but losing one of the main front three could signal the start of the end of Barca’s trophy hopes.
Unfortunately, Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski did have an injury scare against Lithuania towards the end of the game.
Despite scoring the only goal in Poland’s 1-0 win, the 36-year-old came off in the 86th minute and did not look too comfortable.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the Barca striker discussed the seriousness of the injury.
“I’ve had some problems for three games, but today it was better,” Lewandowski added.
“In the end, it was better to let go off, so nothing would get worse. I think everything should be fine. I hope it’s not a big problem.”
Poland’s manager, Michal Probierz, provided a further update, claiming he could play the next game.
“Lewandowski had a minor injury. But it’s nothing serious, and I think he’ll be able to play in the next match,” he added.
“This is nothing new, and we have to congratulate him for showing up at training camp and doing everything he can to rebuild the team and be a strong point for the national team.”
Lewandowski is on fire for Flick and is currently leading the La Liga golden boot race, so losing him would be detrimental.
Hopefully, he is rested for Poland’s next tie but if he is not then fingers crossed he can come out of the game unscathed.
