Four attackers have been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona next summer, with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz being the ‘preferred target’.

The Liverpool forward is out of contract in 2027 and this campaign Arne Slot has been playing him as a striker to facilitate Cody Gakpo.

A couple of months ago the Colombian’s father also revealed that his ‘dream’ was to play for Barcelona, adding even more fuel to the fire.

It is also being reported that Liverpool would be open to letting him leave as he has declined numerous contract renewals due to the wages not reflecting his impact on the squad.

Luis Diaz makes Barcelona decision

Speaking on El Chiringuito TV, Jose Alvarez has now claimed that the Liverpool forward has now offered himself to Barcelona.

In the interview, Alvarez continues by saying that the Colombian’s agents have told Deco he is open to joining Hansi Flick’s side next summer transfer window.

As Barcelona found out with Phillipe Coutinho, Liverpool’s Sporting Directors are typically shrewd negotiators, so if they do go in for Diaz they will not get him on the cheap.

The Premier League side have a history of declining lowball offers and eventually just letting players leave for free if their valuation is not met.

With Diaz’ current contract ending in 2027 the Reds are in no rush to sell as if he does run his contract down the former Porto forward would be 30-years-old, potentially being outside of Barca’s desired age range for new signings.
