FC Barcelona defeated Osasuna 2-1 in a tense La Liga encounter, securing vital three points to maintain top spot.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 81st minute with a header assisted by Marcus Rashford.

Ferran Torres added a second in the 86th minute, finishing clinically from inside the box after a clever through ball by Fermín López.

The win kept Barcelona top of the table, extending their strong form despite missing Lamine Yamal.

It was a professional, if not always fluent, performance from the leaders.

Here are the Barcelona player ratings:

Joan García (8/10)

Solid between the posts with key saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Confident with his feet and distribution under pressure.

Eric García (7/10)

Defended responsibly in Koundé’s absence.

Limited attacking contribution on the right.

Pau Cubarsí (7.5/10)

Composed and positionally strong at the back.

Helped build play from the back effectively.

Gerard Martín (7/10)

Steady defensively and covered well.

Struggled a bit to get forward meaningfully.

João Cancelo (7/10)

Tried to push down the left but found little space.

Crossing and final ball were below his usual level.

Gavi (7/10)

Full of energy and pressed aggressively.

Picked up an early yellow card and was sometimes too frantic.

Pedri (8.5/10)

Best player on the pitch, dictated tempo nicely.

Created several promising moments, but couldn’t find the breakthrough.

Roony Bardghji (6/10)

Struggled to make an impact on the right wing.

Lacked sharpness and was easily contained.

Dani Olmo (7.5/10)

Drifted inside and tried to link play.

Not his most influential game; final actions lacked quality.

Fermín López (8.5/10)

Worked hard off the ball and made some good runs.

Provided a crucial assist to Ferran Torres for the decider goal.

Robert Lewandowski (8/10)

Isolated for long periods against the low block, however, scored a crucial header to break the deadlock.

Missed a couple of half-chances and looked frustrated.
