Newcastle ‘increase’ offer for Barcelona player

Newcastle have increased their offer to sign a key Barcelona player, per recent reports

Reports from Spain have suggested that Raphinha is a hot topic in the transfer market, with Newcastle United leading the race for his signature. Saudi Arabian clubs have also shown interest in the former Leeds United star, who has also been linked with a potential move to Aston Villa.

Raphinha, however, seems intent on staying in Europe and has his sights set on a future with Barcelona.

Despite this, Newcastle’s owner, Mohammed Bin Salman, remains determined to secure the winger’s services.

It’s reported that he has already increased his offer after an initial bid of 40 million euros was turned down by Barcelona earlier in the summer.

Although the Magpies have upped their bid to 45 million euros, it seems unlikely to meet Barcelona’s asking price. The club have reportedly set a valuation of at least 60 million euros for the 27-year-old winger.
