Manchester United has reportedly contacted FC Barcelona to discuss the sale of two players who have not met performance expectations.
After a summer transfer window marked by departures to acquire funds for new signings, the Red Devils are contemplating loaning out Antony in January, with a permanent sale anticipated in the summer.
The £86 million signing has not yet started a Premier League match this season. Tyrell Malacia has also been hindered by injuries and has not played in a league game.
Spanish reports suggest that Manchester United tried to transfer Antony and Malacia from Barcelona, but the offer was promptly rejected.
The Catalan club does not consider Antony to be a notable upgrade to their current choices, Ferran Torres or Ansu Fati, and holds a similar view towards Malacia.
