Man Utd could be set to win transfer race ahead of Barcelona

Manchester United are ready to outbid Barcelona for mutual target.

After failing to secure Nico Williams during the last summer transfer window, FC Barcelona are once again prioritizing reinforcements for their left wing ahead of next summer.

The Catalan giants have been linked with several prominent players, including Portuguese star Rafael Leão and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. Another name on their radar is Napoli’s standout winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Georgian international’s future at Napoli appears increasingly uncertain, as contract renewal talks with the Serie A side have hit a roadblock.

Kvaratskhelia currently earns just €1.2 million annually, and while Napoli have proposed a new deal worth up to €6 million with bonuses, they have refused to go any higher.

This standoff has sparked interest from several top European clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to SPORT, United are prepared to offer Kvaratskhelia a lucrative five-year deal with wages of €8 million net per season, a package similar to PSG’s reported €10 million proposal last summer.

While Barcelona are monitoring the situation, they remain cautious.

The club is reluctant to pay Napoli’s reported €80 million asking price for a player with two years left on his deal, especially given president Aurelio de Laurentiis’ reputation as a tough negotiator. Kvaratskhelia’s future remains unresolved.
