Raphinha has probably been Barcelona’s best player this season, despite playing a large majority of his games out of position.

Due to this, the Blaugrana have been heavily linked with a lot of left-wingers, with the hope that the Brazilian can play more in his natural position, potentially getting even more from his performances.

Many names have been floated around but according to new claims in Spain, Deco looks to have made his decision on who to bring in.

Mundo Deportivo, via Managing Barca, have reported that Liverpool’s Luis Diaz is now Barcelona’s favourite option to reinforce the left side of their attack.

The Colombian forward is said to be Barca’s priority ahead of the likes of Nico Williams and Rafael Leao.

Diaz, who has been operating as a striker this campaign, is still yet to commit his future to Liverpool, with reports stating he has declined numerous contact renewal offers.

The 28-year-old’s father has also mentioned that his son’s dream club is Barcelona, adding more fuel to the fire.

With Diaz’s contract ending in 2027, the Premier League side could cash in next summer, especially if they believe the former Porto winger will not extend, opening the door for Deco to negotiate a deal.
