The club’s name, LSM, represents the initials of the pair and marks a new venture into football ownership for the former Barcelona stars.
Announced on social media, the project reflects their passion for the game and their desire to give back to the next generation of players in Uruguay.

“Today I want to offer Uruguayan football, which I love and grew up with since I was a kid, the opportunities and tools to help all teenagers and children grow,” said a visibly emotional Suarez.
Messi added: “This dream doesn’t end here… we’ve experienced so many things together, and this project is the perfect place to continue sharing our vision of football.”
The club will train at the Luis Suarez complex, a state-of-the-art facility covering nearly 20 acres.
It includes a synthetic turf stadium with a 1,400 capacity and a 7-a-side pitch with room for 620 fans.
Deportivo LSM will compete under the umbrella of the AUF (Uruguayan Football Federation), and both players have hinted at long-term ambitions for the club.
It’s a stunning new chapter in the careers of two icons who once tore defences apart at Camp Nou.
Now, they’re using their shared legacy to build something lasting in the world of football—this time from the ground up.
