Laporta makes decision on a potential huge signing

Joan Laporta has made the decision on re-signing former Barcelona player, per recent reports.

Joan Laporta has allegedly ruled out the option of re-acquiring 18-year-old Spanish striker Marc Guiu from Chelsea in the upcoming year.

Recent reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona is not looking to reintegrate Guiu into their team. Laporta has effectively ruled out the possibility of the young Chelsea talent returning to the Catalan side following his transfer to the Premier League club in the summer transfer window.

Marc Guiu’s departure from Barcelona and subsequent signing with Chelsea caused surprise. Guiu was born in Granollers and progressed through Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy before making his debut for the first team last year.

There are speculations that Barcelona is considering the possibility of re-signing Guiu, as Chelsea is said to be willing to loan him out next year.

The 18-year-old has the potential to be a valuable addition to Barcelona’s team, especially since Hansi Flick does not have a substitute for Robert Lewandowski.

However, Joan Laporta has dismissed the idea of bringing back Guiu from Chelsea under any circumstances.

The young Spaniard could have been a beneficial asset to Barcelona’s offensive efforts, but it seems he will have to seek opportunities elsewhere for consistent first-team playing time.
